James Hanson the Sheffield Snuff Maker

James Richard William Hanson (b. 1969) is a Sheffield snuff maker and the current Chairman of the firm of Wilsons & Co., a position in which he succeeded his father-in-law Jeremy Archdale (b. 1946) having first entered the firm circa 2010 as a director. Hanson was directly responsible for the acquisitions by the Wilsons firm of the Dr. Rumney, Fribourg & Treyer, and Singleton brands. (J. Hanson, personal communication, 2023-01-12.)
