Snuff Spoon

A snuff spoon is a specialised utensil in the form of a small spoon that is used to convey snuff tobacco as to facilitate snuff taking. Like many other utensils, snuff spoons are constructed of various materials and take various styles. One method of employing the snuff spoon has it drawn directly to the nose, another method has its contents unlade onto the back of the hand with the hand being drawn to the nose. A snuff spoon might be employed so not to soil the fingers with snuff or conversely so not to contaminate snuff with soiled fingers.
